About St. Andrew’s Memorial Anglican Church

A medium-sized congregation near downtown Kitchener, in a neighbourhood experiencing change and revitalization related to the upcoming light rail transit line and the construction of several nearby housing developments, and a growing sense of connection and mission to the surrounding community. The church is seeking a music director who can work well with a small choir, and if possible, work to add voices, or support congregational singing without a traditional choir. Competency with organ and piano are required, though academic credentials are not mandatory. The church is looking for a candidate who appreciates how the words and music of hymnody can undergird the themes of the Sunday readings. The envisioned candidate will be someone who can select and play music that helps to bring out St. Andrew’s natural and particular voice as we remain connected to our mainstream Anglican heritage, while being open to a diversity of resources and traditions.

Interested persons are invited to submit a résumé, with cover letter, tostandrewskitchener@gmail.com, or to 275 Mill Street, Kitchener, ON, N2M 3R4. Deadline for reception of applications is December 15, 2018. The job description is available upon request.
